Looking to create a weekly clothes organizer for your baby’s outfits?
As a working mom, I’m always looking for ways to MAKE. LIFE. EASIER.
I try hard but I’m horrible at things like meal planning.
One thing I have found that helps make our mornings easier is organizing my daughter’s outfits ahead of time.
I used this easy to make clothes organizer to prepare my daughter’s outfits each week when she was a baby. This simple do-it-yourself project can be made with items you probably already have around the house.

Save Time By Organizing Outfits Each Week
Since I work out of the home Monday through Friday, I do most of my laundry and household cleaning on the weekends. I find it convenient to prepare for the upcoming week as much as possible. Although it takes some extra time on Saturday or Sunday, I’m always grateful to my weekend-self for prepping once the work week starts.
On the weekends, I usually do all my family’s laundry. While putting my daughter’s clean clothes away, I pick out all her outfits for the upcoming week. As a result, I don’t have to spend time each morning deciding what she should wear..
I’ve found it so much easier to just grab a preselected outfit instead of rifling through her drawers looking for matching clothes each morning.
Easy DIY Weekly Clothes Organizer
I’m a big fan of using objects I already have around the house for my DIY projects.
Here’s all you need for this weekly clothes organizer:
Materials
- a storage container, basket, bin, etc.
- folders, cardboard or some other sturdy material to use for making different sections
- sticky labels
- Sharpie or marker
I used a clear, plastic container.
I found this one at Dollar Tree for those on a budget!
Dimensions in inches are 13.75 (L) x 8 (W) x 4 (H). This size is good for baby clothes but may be too small for anything bigger. It worked for us for my daughter’s clothing up to about size 12 months.

I had some old hanging files without a home so I cut them up to use as tabs to separate each day’s outfit. Alternatively, you could also cut up cardboard from a box of diapers.
Use any kind of stick-on label you might have on hand or buy some like these.
Don’t have labels? Just write the days of the week with a sharpie or marker.
And done!
Super simple. Keeps clothes for the week organized and neat and helps make morning a little easier.
Do you plan out your kids’ outfits for the week? How do you organize them? Let me know in the comments. I’m always looking for new ideas!
